1. Intern Lawyers Training
The LBA has been moving towards developing and implementing a rigorous Intern Law Training Program. This programme is important as future lawyers are trained to acquire the knowledge and skills they will need to become successful lawyers. During the Intern Training Programme Interns undergo compulsory training in legal knowledge and skills across a range of areas, including amongst other things, commercial law, advocacy skills, legal practice management skills, and property law. Teachers are experienced members of the LBA.
Intern lawyers are also required work at one of the units of the LBA under the supervision of a lawyer. The Intern Law Training Programme is currently provided free of charge to any successful applicants.
In 2008, the Intern Law Training Programme was held in September and October. Further information on the Intern Law Training Programme can be obtained by contacting the LBA on the contact details listed here.

2. Continuing Legal Education
To continue development of the skills and knowledge of licensed lawyers in the Lao PDR, the LBA also provides to its members the opportunity to attend various Continuing Legal Education seminars and workshops. The CLE Programme is set up to ensure that any gaps in skills and knowledge of LBA members are filled and that they are equipped with the expertise that will lead to the provision of quality legal services.
The LBA welcomes international guests to host any CLE seminars or workshops. Further information on the CLE programme can be obtained by contacting the LBA on the contact details listed here.
